Ableton 5.2.2 crashing when saving..constantly

This prob is happening with 5.1 as well.

When I go to save I get the serious system fail erroe.
When I reopen live it gives an error that I lready have a rewire device open...I don't have any other rewire progs..just rebirth which I uninstalled.

I removed my vst folder so it isn't plugins, got latest drivers for soundcard and controller.

I can't work it out. It constantly does it now..I've tried rloading, older versions etc.

Here is my spec..any ideas

pent 4 3.0ghz
1gb ram
windows xp service pk 2
audiophile 2496
oxygen 8 controller.

I have uninstalled my controllers. reinstalled drivers for evrything..still no joy.

I only just bought the other week after running a demo version fine...but now I have to save..no go.

It all started when I was editing some volume atomation. The line went from red to brown and the prog freezed. Ever sinse then I can't save contained and 9/10 saves result in a crash.
I can never exit the program without it crashing either.

Ant ideas folks I'm climbing walls with this one

Well, I sent a log to ableton, they were very quick to repliy

, but the log didn't show anything specific really.

I deleted my locking and config file and reloaded. Now everything seems to be fine, touch wood.

I have slowly started adding things back..controller drivers..soundcard etc.

I have just to add my VST folder (this didn't sort the problem before, so i don't see why it should be the prob).

I don't know what the issue was but it was constant which was worrying. Back on the road now though
