explain pre/post send effects

Post by even » Fri Sep 29, 2006 8:59 am

like i was stupid.

i know, in theory what they do. pre fader and post fader, but what i can't seem to get is the use of these. what would you use these for. parctical, real life (well actually digital) examples of uses would make this so much clearer.

thanks

sometimes if you have a sound running through a bunch of fun filter delays and you want to pull the fader down but not lose those delays then you would use a pre fade send. you could drop the oringal sound and keep those crazy delays.

I suppose you could use this for some dub music. or anything really.

does that help?
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.
