seems like it offers us midi folk a lot of vestatility. i like having so many control options and the continuousness of it would be great for non-western scaled music.

That is worth 5 grand! As a keys player with an interest in jazz percussion that is the most attractive piece of ass i've seen in a long time.

It will be Mine! oh yes!

thats just simply a retarded price. I'm sure it takes alot of work to put it together and I'm sure the parts cost alot but to sell it at 5000?? thats like saying "we decided to make something really kick ass and then try to only sell a couple of them to our super elite friends"

I don't agree. They're handmade, and even though I think hand-assembling *anything* in-house in this globalized world (retarded way of phrasing that, I know!) is insane, the Haaken people appear to be selling them as fast as they can make them - in other words: They are in a position where they could raise the price if they wanted to ;)

The Continuum Fingerboard appears to me to have, by far, the most expressive potential of ANY electronic music interface. Period. It's just that awesome, and the people that buy them want nothing less.

These are the folks with "2 * macbook pro, 2 * lemur, max'ed out Capybara, big fuck-off modular synth" systems. In other words, the ones we hate.
