Live on Mac G4 12"/M-Audio interface

Im using OSX on a 12" G4, and I'm trying to route 4 stereo groups into 8 seperate outs in Live, to then output them via a M-Audio 410 firewire box. But I cant seem to get Live to allow me to output in channels 1-8, it only allows me to go via 5-10..
Any advice welcome ?
