wierd delay on playback after MIDI input on Quad 2.6/Live 6

I'm still in the process of migrating to my new Quad from my older G4 so I'm just using Apple's audio driver to test out Live 6. I have no problem with MIDI input triggering the sounds with my keyboard controller. Playback of sounds are instantaneous. The problem is that on playback of a MIDI recorded performance it does not match tempo and auto quantizing and post quantization does not help. You can see the lag time of the MIDI note input in the edit screen. There's virtually no CPU load so no problem there. I was perplexe when I opened up Garage Band to test out MIDI performance and found there was no problem there. Everything tracked accordingly. No strange delayed playback against meter.

Get it? I can get realtime performance playback of sounds but after I record the performance the playback is off and AQ does not compensate nor does post Quantize. With Garage Band there is no hitch. I'm now concerend about Steinberg's Cubase 4 when it arrives.

Using MOTU Fastlane USB MIDI Box

In Live prefs, I even re-set the driver compensation thinking this would help. To no Avail. (Again, why Would Garage Band work and not Live...Live 5 on previous G4 single processor worked effortlessly aswell)

Default Conversion Rate set to High Quality @ 44.1
Buffer size @ 61 Samples to compensate for input Latency: input Latency 0.00
Output Latency 8.68 seconds
Driver compensation -9.0 ms
Overall Latency -0.32 ms

MIDI Auto Q set to straight 16th note.

anyone? :?
