In Live 6 should I be able to hear a midi clip preview in the browser like I can with an audio file? It plays back (well the progress bar moves) when I select it as it should and the selected track has a midi instrument inserted but I can't hear anything. When I drag the clip over to the track it plays fine. Audio clips are fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks

have the set playing when you preview, also be patient, it can take up to 10 seconds for Live to get the clip loaded if it has a rack in it

Thanks for that but...
No joy. I tried it with the set running and with different instruments, etc. Nothing whilst playing as a preview in the browser, drag it into a midi slot on the same track and it plays back fine. Any other ideas?

Thats a bug. I've had it with several Live clips.
Thought it was fixed.
You should report this if you want it fixed.

It's a basic midi file rather than a Live clip - does that make a difference?

Ah. I'm guessing you don't own operator then.
There's nothing to preview it with.
