What are the best notes for trance?
What are the best notes for trance? For instance, I'm making a trance song. What are the best notes to use?

some of those shorter black keys followed up by a couple of the white keys...thats the best for sure...just be sure to only use 42 notes in the entire song.
This question officially lowers the stupid question bar...sorry, but how dense of question is this?

black keys? Your joking right?
All the white keys - and the most basic boring obvious chord progressions known to man without any rythm or feel, that shoul do it...

42 notes? That doesn't seem right. Do you mean 42 different notes or 42 notes altogether? I already have something here and I just counted 113 different notes. That includes drum notes too.jb61264 wrote:some of those shorter black keys followed up by a couple of the white keys...thats the best for sure...just be sure to only use 42 notes in the entire song.

Make sure you don't use F (I am pretty sure metallica have it copywrited)
I'm going to give a serious answer here and say G is a good starting point as I find a low G bass is a nice deep solid frequency, with headroom to do changes either side while still keeping it nice and subby. I used to write everything in c but I find C1 is too low, and C2 is too high
F is good too
