Was thinking about painting the lid of my PowerBook, but was worried about the huge effect it would have on resell value. So I was thinking, how about covering the lid with some sticky-backed plastic stuff and then just painting the plastic? So when I'm bored with it I can just peel off the plastic cover... Now is this just a stupid idea? Will the paints just melt through any thin plasticky stuff, or will it just look rubbish...?

That movie made me want to drive my thumbs into my eye sockets up to my second knuckle. What a farce.ARDJ wrote:anyone else having flashbacks of that 90's movie hackers?
Personally, I would void my warranty and pull off all knobs, open the thing up, remove the panels, and then paint it. I wouldn't risk getting a knob painted closed or something.
