What is the dopest American city to live in?

Post by SUPERBANANBOMB » Tue Dec 05, 2006 7:29 am

I currently live in southern Indiana and I am growing really bored with it.

By next summer I plan on moving somewhere, but the only problem is deciding where.

I've decided that I don't want to live anywhere that it gets cold. If I never have to see snow again I am fine with that. Really it doesn't matter as long as the city is awesome.

So far my top 2 pics are Phoenix, AZ and Honolulu, HI.

What are your opinions?

Keep in mind I am a non-college-educated guy in my mid-20's who's been a waiter more or less his whole life. I am definitely a "working class" guy and I gotta be able to make ends meet.

I guess I should expand a bit further:

I love intelligent music of many genres, I love variety. I love nature. I hate pollution. I don't drive so public transportation is a must. I like areas that cater to 24-hour lifestyles. I hate living in places where everything closes down at 10 p.m.

I love hip-hop and electronic music as well as funk, soul, disco, etc..

I'm into graffitti art, Jesus and having good times.

Does that help?

Portland Oregon is great for all that. In fact just the other week I saw Jesus throwing up some paint with his homies.

you need to make that choice? how can phoenix and honolulu even be on the same scale. i would put phoenix on the scale with hell and i would take hell in an instant over that shit city.

phoenix sucks. hot desert tweaker central. phoenix is like LA without the good shit.

i live in honolulu and it is sweet as sweet can be. if you are a waiter then you will have work, that is a big job here for people your age and up. if you are a good server than you could actually take care of yourself here. i shouldn't be saying this cause the last thing we need here is more people but it will happen either way. just remember that only the strong survive here, at least survive well. rent is a bit spendy but you have to pay to live in paradise. what else could you want out of a city though, year round warm crystal clear emerald and blue waters filled with critters plus a big metropolitan area. you get the best of both worlds here.

when you come i'll introduce you to some of the local brothas, here's a picture of some now.

With a great concentration of wealth and culture, Chicago would be a great place to wait tables and do music.
Five star restaurants galore and an amazing musical history.
Plus you could easily get home for the holidays.
