Download the driver!
I put the driver software in a state ready for public consumption:
it's sending BinOffset relative CCs (for optimal use with Live), allows you to customize the CC numbers and features a non-linear response curve.
It's a free download from http://web.mac.com/keindesign/iWeb/Site ... gator.html
Enjoy!

It's 479g according to the 3Dconnexion web site. The base of it seems to be made out of a solid piece of aluminum or something.
Ah, you got me there. Don't have a MIDI channel setting in my program yet. Will certainly add one for the next version.
Your sig says you're running 10.3.9 - not sure if the program will run on that. So far, I was only able to test it under 10.4.

hey stew. the app just quits on launch on 10.3.9. i need to upgrade anyway, no one really uses 10.3 anymore now. i was just trying to hang on until 10.5 to avoid paying twice. do you want me to pm you the crash report?stew wrote:Your sig says you're running 10.3.9 - not sure if the program will run on that. Update 1.1
An updated version is out, v1.1.
It's now using the Mac OS X SDK released by 3Dconnexion at MacWorld SF. New features are the ability to select MIDI channel, switch between relative and absolute mode and a sensitivity slider for each CC. Enjoy!

Masayuki Akamatsu, who also made the wiiMote accessible in Max, just did a handy abstraction for the Space Navigator:

Brilliant! Ok, so my question would be, could you use more than one of these devices and more than one instance of your app controlling different midi parameters?stew wrote:In the age of YouTube, everybody enjoys a good video:
