If I could get my hardware set-up back I know exactly what I would by....
1.Clavia Nord Modular G2 Rack
2.Motif ES Rack with AN/VL/DX Plg Boards
3.Alesis Andromeda
I would round that off with a Motu Audio Midi Interface get a Yamaha RS7000 to sequence the whole lot with keep Reason 3, Dimension Pro and Reaktor 5.
Track arrange and compose everything in Live.
That would be an ideal setup for me IMHO and good balance of technologies, synthesis & sound mangling, effects processing and compositional felxibilty.

I have seen and played with four separate examples of these over the last year. And as much as I like them, I wouldn't buy one even if I had the spare cash. Its not really an MS20, or even a polyphonic MS10. The filter is more refined and not so squauky so it doesn't do what the MS synths do best in my opinion.Poster wrote:
but I would trash all 3 of them for this one..
Say hello to the bad guy; the Korg PS-3300..
48 voices of raw analog mayhem..
My MS-20 fits 48x in there..
Also, it has the most peculiar envelopes you could imagine. Its not a standard ADSR, and all the controls interact with each other.
I guess I would say the whole thing is all rather organic. You feel like it is alive in both its tone and the way everything interelates to one another. A remarkable instrument for sure, but not perhaps that useful on its own.
