What motivates you to create music?

Strictly, my own ideas and musical innovation. I compose all original material and I refuse to compromise my creative expression for the acceptance of others.

Some original ideas, but more out of a need to appeal to the tastes of others, because that makes me feel good.

I'd go crazy if I didn't. And at the moment I'm going crazy thanks to technology!

I think there are so many reasons that you can't really sum them up on a Poll, especially when there are only 3 options. I think would explain the high percentage of dying poodle inspired music...
MacBook Pro 17", 2GB RAM; Live 6, Pod XT Live, MOTU Ultralite, M-AUDIO Axiom 25, Electric and Acoustic Ukuleles, Fretless Bass.

Totally agreed. I just wanted to see how many peeps (if any) would fit the categories I listed.

i went with the "honest" choice, since making music that others enjoy too is far far more enjoyable than making music that I alone appreciate (although i dont have extremely unique taste in sounds so that'd be impossible anyway).
