i just finished my first semester doing a ba in sonic art and i am liking it lots. we've been doing some installation stuff and we get to be taught about max msp in the 2nd year. so i am well looking forward to it.I just finished my BA in Studio Arts and I am getting pretty serious about installation, painting, and then trying to do more sculpture. I just started getting serious about learning max/msp/Jitter, and I have been building a foundation in Lightwave as well.
i love painting and doing collages too but i find it way different to making tunes. i havent done a painting for about a year or so now as ive been doing music for most of my spare time instead.
personally i find that the buzz i get from making a tune is fairly constant from the initial idea through to the finished piece but with painting i get the buzz mainly when the piece is finished, though there is definately something really nice about sitting down with a brush and some paints sometimes instead of shedloads of computers and instruments
also : how do you do that 'so and so wrote' thing?
cheers everyone for your input
