USB Hub

Does using a powered USB hub with a couple USB devices improve system performance?

Some devices can draw more current than is supplied to the hub through the USB cable connecting the hub to the computer.

I don't think powering the hub would improve performance, it could make a device work that otherwise wouldn't.
