Reason refills and Live..

Post by weese » Thu Feb 22, 2007 5:29 am

I have a ton of refills for Reason and im trying to figure how to use the samples from them in Live. I expect there's gotta be a way considering theyre all wav files. Is there a way to remove the files from the containment of the refill or do i have to record each sound in reason and export them individually?

There is a refill unpacker, which extracts all the .wav's from the refill. don't know exactly if it's legal or not, but have a search on google.

I believe it's called refillviewer, it's Windows-only, and you need Reason 3 to open it. I don't have it, and it's supposed to be pretty buggy. Kind of a bummer...

not ideal but you could alwasy re-wire reason in live, I had a lot of cool bits and bobs from the old days in reason and rewird and created new live clips from the resampled audio. probably too tiring to do a whole refill but at least you could cherry pick those "must haves"
