Hi
Can you help with my Halion problem - I've checked all my other Steinberg VSTs and they all work fine, but Halion remains obstinately silent.
I open Live.
Click on Halion in VSTs and it creates a track.
I create another midi track.
Midi From = Channel 1
Monitor = in
Midi to = 2-Midi
Next box = 1Halion SE set up as Legato Strings
The lights flash showing the inbound signal but no matter how I set up 2-Midi I still get no sound.
In Cubase it works fine and dandy - so am I missing something obvious?
Thanks
Ian

i have a similar problem w/ reason. only it is intermittent. and i can not seem to find the determining factor.
bascially i send a midi note to a reason device as i normally have done in version 5, and then have another channe open to receive the signal (routed correctly, etc.), and i'll hear 3 nots in a 4 note sequence. and never the same 3 notes.

Guess we'll never know....as far as I can see I've routed everything else correctly.
If it didn't work in Cubase I'd be concerned, but some of my other VSTis behave a little bit strangely in Live. For the most part it's not a problem but I do like HAlion. It's a shame, becuase if it did all work seamlessly I'd probably be able to give up Cubase. A lot of the other functions are so easy!
Have a good Christmas

Hi
I had this problem too. I'm on a Mac. I found that launching halion from the dock was the problem. Create a midi track in Live, then from your plug in device browser in Live drag halion into the blank area at the bottom of the Live window, making sure the midi track in question is selected, then use Halion's browser to load the samples.
