Sampler: how much am I modulating?

I'm a bit lost trying to figure out what amount I am modulating in Sampler through the midi tab.

I have Filter Frequency assigned to Channel Pressure. Say I choose 42 as the amount of Channel Pressure modulating the frequency - what exactly does 42 mean (besides being the answer to life, the universe and everything)?

I can't see the actual figure changing within the Filter/Global tab, so i'm flying in the dark at the moment.

Anyone have any ideas? I would be surprised to find this is an entirely random value.

It would be great to see midi modulations reflected in the Sampler interface, in the same way Macro changes effect their respective values.
