Any advice on which myspace editor software to use? Adonis, you there? Bueller?

I'm a dope at CSS, and the closer to blog-easy we get, the better.

Cheers,
A.

Myspace is rubbish. I always get obscure German techno lables adding me but that's about it. I bet they don't even listen to my stuff, I know I don't listen to theirs lol. I mainly use it to keep in touch with my friends.

Google is rubbish too.

Best not to have your pages on the google index, it just adds to your email
inbox with people wanting to order your CDs.

pfft.

Anyone who says Myspace is rubbish has nothing to sell or it simply isn't their market.

it can automate things like sending messages to all your friends, adding people, and accepting friend requests.

very handy, just don't piss people off with it or it's worthless.

is there something similar for mac users???

I see some people here have a nifty little flash player instead of the clunky default 'artist' one, allowing way more than four tracks to boot. How does one get one of those - and does it require a regular profile to utilise it?

krank:

the spiced players you´ve been seeing are usually flash players supplied by online music stores to their customers...

it can also be any flash player you get / develop,
but it needs to be somewhere online so it is available in yourspace,
then you just insert the respective html code in the bio sectton for example,

i think it works in all myspace profiles

Myspace can be very time consuming. The results are highly serendipitous, so there is some actual, real fun there.

If you are talking about 'getting the most out of it' you should not consider anything approaching spamming. Understand what the events thing does, understand what the bulletin thing does, understand what adding people does. If you add people, when you send a bulletin, it will come to them, if they read bulletins. If you add an event, you will reach people if they search for events in that area. If you bulletin an event, it will reach people that you have added, and those in the area of the event may attend if they are interested. So if people are actually interested, you will get actually interested attendees.
