What to buy first Operator or Sampler...

Post by TeachONE » Sat Mar 24, 2007 2:52 am

This is pretty straight forward.... I'm a hip-hop producer for the most part, but I don't know much of anything about these add ons for Ableton... Right now I'm pretty satisfied with 6.0 in conjunction with Reason 3.0, but I have a feeling I'm gonna want to do more... this seems to be the case no matter what I do.... At any rate, I have a monthly music budget, and I'm trying to decide what to do first Operator or Sampler... I'd love to hear which you would choose first and why... Peace

i rekon u dont need either :P

u should have all the tools to make all the sounds u want and arrange them in any way u wabt between live and reason.

i agree.. neither, but for hip hop i would definitely choose sampler over operator, but simpler + reason is more then sufficient

I'd say Sampler too, but if you've already got Reason it's not going to add too much to your arsenal.

In reason you cant do fm synthesis, so thats a plus for operator. But sampler would bring alot to the table that reason cant. Id go for sampler by a hair.
