Pro Tools "HD" "is" ProTools.

ahhhhh...yes, i see........what funktion exactly are you refering? multitrack beat detective?
its the only "main" difference?
Oh no my friend.
ProTools HD:
record 100+ tracks of I/O at a time at the highest resolutions without a worry.
record a triple scale 80 piece orchestra without one single glitch.
involved in 99% of all the new music we hear.
Creatively slice and dice it all with great speed and ease like no other program.
Go ahead, cut across a hundred tracks and drop it anywhere before your hand is off the mouse.
How about 90 simultaneous dbl precision 48 bit plugins. I have never topped my plugin count even on 60+ track R&B mixes and I use hungry plugz. It sounds gorgeous.
Locks to anything like a champ.
It lets me do whatever I want, quickly, without a single complaint.
There's a ton more differences. Working with that amount of raw horse power is truly creative and liberating to me.
Don't know about Nuendo. Yeah, HD is expensive but its the champ of em all and in any studio I walk in. I didn't choose it, it chose me so I had to buy it. Anyway, It paid for itself in three weeks. For what it does, price is not the issue. i like butter on both sides of my bread. Can't stand digidesign though. But I have never called support. Ever. Plugged in my HD3 and have never had a problem in 4 years. One time I left it on and booted up for three months without a single crash or glitch.
