clip loading

Hi,

I have a question... dunno know of it belongs here it is at first a problem but with the right solution it will become a trick&tip

I have a liveset which is very large. >1,2 gig. It takes 2 minutes to load fully. now i want to improve optimalize the file load and clips. I use for drums some audio bounces from logic. These are the total drum parts of a song. I place them in an audiotrack and continue working from there. So in the end i have 10 times the same drum track with differend looppoints in it.

Now my question is: loads live the wavefile once into the memory and uses it as a reference in each single clip or loads live the wavefile into the memory each time it´s used in a clip?

generally: what is the best way, with minimal process usage in mind, to load clips?

Live will only load the file once. But make sure they all are really referencing the same file. If you have consolidated amything, then Live have created new files.

ok... i have downloaded live 6.07 and the liveset loading is much improved. I´m now down to 20 seconds instead of 2 minutes!
