track starts offbeat
Hello all, my problem is that when i start a track just using the play button and bring in the track it will be offbeat but if i just click play from anywhere in the waveform window the track will be onbeat and plays perfectly onbeat just like it should. this problem happens with 2 of my tracks and the rest are fine. i am stumped so far and i am pretty confident the error is between my keyboard and my chair so a push in the right direction is all i need to get it fixed. any help is much appreciated. thanks in advance

here is a screenshot of one of the trouble tracks. everything appears to be ok with the warping. looking at warping is a good place to start but i am having no problems with any of my other tracks. there is something else going on and it is ONLY effecting these 2 tracks. Like i said "when i click play from anywhere in the waveform window the track will "snap" back into perfect timing and stay on beat the entire time like nothing was wrong. i have also tried moving the 1st warp marker to just about every beat and even tried inbetween beats and just about anywhere else you can imagine with no success. i am really stumped on this one.

yeah me too, i had a look at your screenshot and the waveform and markers around it all look OK. Don't really understand. Sorry!
have you tried to get the track to beatmatch onto itself (like u've done, have it in 2 audio clips)
ah I've just seen another thing - the orange dropdown box under the title of your clip is empty - shouldn't be set to like trigger or something? Not sure

Things from your screen shot look ok. I'm thinking it has to do with the clips' quantization because only two of your tracks have the issue. In clip view, click the little "L" in the bottom left. Take a look at what the clips quantization is. It should be, in your case, set to "Global". If it's something else other than "Global" or the same value as your global quantization, there's the problem.
The trigger mode is here as well when you click "L" (Launch). Make sure it's the same as the other clips that are working.
If neither of these solutions help, delete the .asd (warp file) and bring the tracks into Ableton again fresh. Last thing to try, but should work. Warping two tracks again is no big deal.
