is she already a permanent resident? I was looking at the citizenship site to see when mine can apply and apparently they've just changed the law - now to apply you have to be in the country 4 years instead of 2!

they've just made it all a bit stricter, starting July 1st I think

but if they are permanent resident before that date then its as before

Sim will be Perm. Res 2 years in July 6th!
