SHITE!!! - Virginia Tech 33 Dead (Vs 18,000 Dead)?
Put the blame on guns, that's logical. While your at it, take them away, so that when someone who has one anyway breaks in to rape your women and children you can stand by helplessly watching as you are rattling off your prized anti-NRA slogans and protesting. Take away the right to defend oneself or one's own family with a firearm and the crime rate will skyrocket. If someone has determined in his/her mind they want to commit a crime, they will find a way to do so, gun or no gun. Don't give them an excuse to do so on someone who can't defend themselves because of a constitutional right being abolished.

What, just like in other countries where people don't have the right...?radialson wrote:Take away the right to defend oneself or one's own family with a firearm and the crime rate will climb like crazy.
Some people really don't have a clue about the rest of the world.
Then again, maybe you're right and Americans are different from the rest of the world.
Where? Here in England? Sweden? Japan? So crime is high in countries without a gun culture? That's news to me.radialson wrote:Take away the right to defend oneself or one's own family with a firearm and the crime rate will skyrocket.
That "We've the right to defend our farms from the Redcoats" attitude to guns is what gives Americans the international reputation they so rightly deserve.

There's a difference between rights and a deontology that got stomped into each and every single american from childhood.
The country where rappers outdo each other in the amount of getting shot.
Chris Rock had it right when he said that a bullet should be worth 5000$.
It'll make you think twice about the value of life.
You'd be more hesitant to kill somebody if you knew it could cost up to 30000$
And as far as protecting your family goes... You cant put a price on that. So 5000$ per bullet is an investment in safety you can afford.
Though you'd better get insurance on those bullets. Who knows, your kid might take a beating in school and decide to take revenge with daddy's gun.
If i had access to a gun as a teenager. I'd be in the penn for life...
The right to bear arms?
That right was given when guns couldn't fire more then 10 meter and had a bajonet on them. A land full of cowboys.
When the country was full of people who actually lived there for centuries and resented the fact that their land got taken by "the white man".
When people actually got challenged to a duel...
Anyway. There are so many things wrong with your little statement. I could go on all day about your laws, political system and dumbification of the population.
But whats the point. I might as well cue you up for the reply that probably has come out Charlton Heston's mouth a thousand times before.
"Guns don't kill people! Monkeys with guns kill people!"
Wait, did i get that right?

Hey hoffman2k,
isnt it quite easy to get a gun in belgium? Even a rifle... There was this fascist/xenophobe guy in the 90ees who shot at people he predicted *foreign*, thats the last thingie i heard from belgium relating to *death from guns*...
In Switzerland was this guy who stepped in the parliament and shot something like 20 peeps with an automatic rifle, those guys in switzerland keep the guns they get in the army at home.
But nowhere in europe we have something like 20.000 dead people... shot by handguns.
You are those Cleetus the slack jawed Yokel cowboy assholes the world predicts you.
Because of that you had 9/11 and you will be the end of the western *democratic* system, same story with rome extremely bloated, fucked up, arrogant culture sweeped away by someone else.
Good night white pride,
smartass

Sure you can get guns. Doesn't mean every household has to have one.smartass303 wrote:Hey hoffman2k,

We aren't forcefed the socalled right to carry a weapon like its part of being a Belgian.
People do get shot here..
But as you pointed out, it happens so rare that you have to think really really hard to come up with examples.
And as for it being easy to get a gun..
I'm pretty sure they wont give me one legally. But like anywhere else in the world, you can get anything if you're willing to pay big money.

Yeah, but I'm guessing all he did when he got here was listen to hip-hop, play Grand Theft Auto, and watch Die Hard over and over.no_barcode wrote:Well *technically* the shooter wasn't an American.

Hip-hop, violent video games, and Bruce Willis. That poor Korean didn't stand a chance in hell. Someone should have intervened. Oh society!sparklepuff wrote:Yeah, but I'm guessing all he did when he got here was listen to hip-hop, play Grand Theft Auto, and watch Die Hard over and over.no_barcode wrote:Well *technically* the shooter wasn't an American.
