Pitch Black will report in a week or two... they ordered two of them...
And don´t you dare buy the last one. I want one, too.

i've always wanted one of these but that price seems way crazy for a bank of knobs with a midi port on them.

I can sell you mine for 250 euros.
Its the now very rare version of that same dreherbank but in black.
Its good as new.
I dont use it so much now because I have a surface controller now.
let me know if you want it.
Peace.
If you think it's too repetitive, then you're not listening.

I guess there's a difference between the white and black versions? Other than color of course

go for it, I found the doepfer knobs to have a very nice tactile feeling, they feel "right" (or warm like someone might say)

a mate of mine just got one of these
It feels solid and a lot less plasticy than some of my controllers UC-33 for example. certainly got plenty of knobs - shame it doesnt have some more buttons

I've had one for years, the only problem being that in the last year or so it has started to output random midi data2 values. Which is annoying. there's a sensitivity parameter in the editor, but for some reason it is missing from the v2 editor, I contacted Doepfer about that and the response was
You can download the V1.1 from our website.
Unfortunately I'm not so familiar with the editor software, because this was made by another employee who lost the company 2 years before.
But if your Drehbank sends random values - this is not o.k. and maybe a hardware problem and likely could not be solved by the editor anyway.

Seems expensive to me - from my (limited) recent research into building a custom controller, it sems you could make one (incl. midi AND usb outputs) for less than that.

Can you elaborate, what modules you want to use? And what are you using as a main controller box?
