How is ABLETON pronounced?

Post by Majnun » Thu Apr 26, 2007 9:03 pm

Is it a long a or short a?

As in "wait" or "cat"

I thought it was German made so it should be a short a.

In the Ableton videos, Gerhard Behles and others pronounce it with a long a "Abe-ul-ton".

It is the case that if you pass it to a german translation pronouncer app, it will say "Abbleton".

It's funny how many people in the US say "Apleton". They really think that's what it's called. I even had a guy correct me once when I said Ableton....and he'd been using the program for months!

Every breeze that blows

brings your scent to me;

Every bird that sings

calls out your name to me;

Every dream that appears

brings your face to me;

Every glance at your face

has left its trace with me.

I am yours, I am yours,

whether near or far;

Your grief is mine, all mine,

wherever you are.
