Drag from Finder to AU GUI

Hello,

I have a couple of AU's that I need to drag and drop files from the finder. Specifically, Mach 5 from MOTU. In order to build a preset in the sampler I need to drag the sound file from a finder window, but when I go to the finder the GUI for Mach 5 disappears

Is there a setting I'm missing, or some kind of workaround?

Another AU this affects is impOSCar. I can't drag an fxb to the GUI.

Any help appreciated.

try this..

make sure both Live and that finder window are visible
(resize Live's window if needed..)

have your finder window ready with the file you want to drag in..

make sure Live is at 'front'..

now drag the file into Live WITHOUT first clicking the file..

so just grab/drag it in one movement and keep your mouse button pressed down..

it's a bit off a delicate move but it should work like this..
