Using Ableton Live as multitrack recorder

Post by The Kooky Scientist » Thu Jan 31, 2002 1:20 am

I was using Ableton Live as a multitrack recorder and discovered this problem.

was only using just 3 long 35minute clips and a few effects. Tried to then bounce the mix down on a 4th track and the program would stop recording at about 500 measures of 1200 measures total.

I guess Ableton has no problem with bouncing down a string of short little clips but can't handle a few really long clips. I guess I'll have to mix down to DAT on pieces like this.

You didn't have loop turned on on the toolbar when you tried to bounce, did you?

I had something similar. I dropped a large audio file into a project and it started generating a preview file as usual. I started playback before it was finished creating a preview (it's a backround process anyway) and the program froze.
