Using Small LCD Touch-screen w/Live

Hey folks,

I'm looking to 'innovate' with my new gig setup...I'm building a Core 2 Duo rack-mounted PC, and I'm looking at getting an 8-inch VGA touchscreen LCD (screen res up to 1024x768) to monitor Ableton Live & Reason (i do 99% of my controlling via my midi keyboard).

I'll be using Vista which has a tablet control setting...Anyone got any experiences doing this kind of stuff before I splash out on a touch-screen?

the latency is bad ( normal price touch screen )....
