I cannot get any sound out of Live 6.0.7. This software came with my keyboard which I installed yesterday. Everything works find under Madtracker, but not at all in Ableton Live. I have followed the instructions in the help file, I can see that the software detects a signal from the keyboard and the signal bars go up and down as I press the keys, but no sound.
Any ideas is is this software not worth playing with!

Try puting an instrument in that track, simpler or operator for instance.
Sounds like you dont have any.
You're just seeing midi activity, wich is not sound.

Or just drop an audio file into an audio track and press its play button.
No sound? Check your soundcard settings in preferences.

Ahhh, I have sound.
I'm new to this digital music world - I assumed that Live Lite would be similar to MadTracker the soft synth I've been playing with and that I would select an instrument and then use my midi keyboard to control it, I take it that is not what this software does.

Read the manual and do the lessons that come with Live. It will get you going.
