you dont need the high res screen unless you are editing HD in final cut 6.

also the high res screen is NOT the new LED backlight, only the regular screen.

yeah but my understanding is the higher resolution makes things smaller which means more real estate = more scenes and tracks visible on screen. Correct me if I'm wrong.

you're right nowtime, getting the 1920x1200 screen allows many more tracks in Live to be seen at once.

btw - never buy RAM from the Apple Store... over priced.
