Live is slower since I installed a new version (live 6)

Post by bujol » Thu Jun 14, 2007 8:09 am

Hi everyone,
I had a demo version of Live 5 and I finally decided to buy it. But as soon as I installed my new version (live 6), I noticed that there was more often a delay between the actions I was doing and the reactions of images in the sceen. Plus, more glitches in the sound when I'm activating some fonctions (like record enabling a track or turning an effect on/off). Working with my ancient version wasn't doing this, would somebody have any idea what happened? Are there some files I have to remove or any cleaning in my computer I have to do when I install a new version?
Thanks for your help.

MacBook Pro, 2Go RAM, 2.16GHz, Intel Core2Duo, Fireface 400.

hi ya all,

i'm also having slowing down problems in Live 6, my document isn't that big really and now the audios take a few seconds to load up when i open the document. sometimes the latency will be bigger and bigger.

i'm not a computer geek but i remember in OS9 and before, there was a trick where you would "trash the preferences" so as to make the program function better.

is there such a thing in this case?

MacOS X v 10.4.8
mac intel 2.16 GHz Core Duo
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2

What do you mean "trash the preferences"...? How do you do that? :|
Are we loosing the setting made in the preference when we trash it, do we reinstall'em?
