Usb Midi controlers not being seen by ableton
Usb Midi controlers not being seen by ableton
There is no reason for this, but Windows Xp will see my device (Akai Mpd24 and Elcer Nuo4) But ableton will not recognise it as a midi input? I am running 5.2.
IT does see it on my mac no problem but not in Windows Xp,
Any Ideas?

Hi,vfire wrote:Nope I checked the website,
I have read others had this problem too and the unit was defective.
Hope not
At least for the Nuo4, read the manual on page 15, it tells you to install the Drivers if you want to use the USB MIDI connection.. Don't you have a CD containing such a driver, that came with the Nuo4?

Can you get it to work with the software it came with?
I had the same problem with the MPD24 last week. The driver installed properly but it wouldn't work with any DAW or the BFD software it came with.
I called Akai tech support and it turned out to be a 'defective' MPD24, they would take 4 weeks to ship me a replacement so I just returned i and got me an Axiom 25!
I don't think it's a problem with Live but with your Akai.
