Battery 3 users - question about key commands?

Post by jamester » Fri Jun 22, 2007 5:45 pm

This was brought up on the Battery forum - it seems Live doesn't let you use key commands in Battery? So for instance you can't delete a cell using the Delete key, and you can't scroll through the built-in browser using up/down arrow keys, etc...

What gives? Can this be changed, or is it just the way it is?

Yes, I am on the newest version, 3.02. I never even noticed this cuz I've only been using B3 in Reaper, but I came across it on the NI Battery forum, posted by a Live 6 user:

http://www.native-instruments.com/forum ... hp?t=51125

Tested it out for myself, and sure enough! In the thread another person said this was done deliberately (in the new update) and prevents unintentional deleting of clips, when deleting a cell with the Delete key.

In Reaper with 3.02 update, all key commands work perfectly. In Live, they don't work at all.

No worries! :)

Interesting that it's working on OSX, I wonder if this is a PC-only issue?
