back when i was a hooligan, my tipple of choice was Holstein pils,,
part of the reason was that if you drank 5 or 6 you got crazy pissed,, but then, if you drank 7, 8, 9 you kinda got lucid again,, but then number 10 could send you into this kind of surreal hallucinogenic state kinda similar to tequila,,
I did some crazy shit drunk on Holstein Pils,, mostly at the Camdon Town and Country,, now called the Forum,, or the Mean Fiddler,, and mostly while Dr Feelgood or Wilco Johnson and The Solid Senders where playing,, although,, i did once or twice perform badly, and fearlessly, in front of some of the early rave bands like the Shaman or the Prodigy,, except i think that may have been at the Brixton academy,,
Now i'm more into strong coffee, hot cocoa and an early night,,,

eeek, I'm about 126 years old......but the reason beer has found it's way back as a mainstream is to get OFF the JD! Once you get past you're 90's is just TOO hard the next day

Aye - i know the feeling.
Rounds get a bit crazy when the doubles come out - a guiness a double JD and coke and then someone may suggest a shot of tequila or sambucca. 4 drink rounds. Dangerous. Specially on a Tuesday.

Heiny seems to be a mellow drink.......but I had my first fosters in a LONG time and was just kinda surprised at how much more "bold" the buzz was......

I want to try some of the other beers mentioned (if available) but I don't want a "fruity" or "wheaty" or "fluffy" beer.....if ya know what I mean? Beer should have the flavor of BEER!

Fat Tire or Hoegarden are my favs, maybe Medalla Light when I'm in Puerto Rico. I'm no beer snob though, I still drink Miller Lite more than anything :)

Down here in the South West we likes us some Cider, too. Cider drunk is fun drunk - like being drunk on Champagne, but not as giggly.

If you're ever in Bristol, check out a bar caled The Coronation Tap, and buy a drink called "Taunton Exhibition". That stuff is cray-zee! It gets you mad-silly drunk. I swear they put LSD, or fertiliser or some shit in that drink. They only sell it in half pint glasses. 5 or 6 of them bad boys and you are on a different planet...

Gave up beer a while ago.
Hang overs are too bad.
Now I drink vodka with orange juice or cranberry.
No more hangovers, and you dont get tired or mopey. Its a much purer high.
