HELP!! Losing midi in the middle of playing

Post by djmichaelwenz » Tue Jul 03, 2007 3:42 am

Hi there, is there a midi reset or panic function?

I am using Live 5 and I have had the problem where I go to tweak a effect plugin assigned to my m-audio 02 and the audio drops out and I loose all MIDI.

On this particular set I have 50 groups of 3-5 scenes (700mb most are mono), loading my set is sluggish but it works. Before a show I usually "warm up' The particular midi controller knob and it is okay, I have my latency set to 281 ms using the built in mme/direct x soundcard. I have 512 ram on a hpdv5000z at 2ghz. Today I was playing and I grabbed a knob to tweak it and it stuttered like it sometimes does when reacting to my knob movement with such a big set and then it continued to play but lost all midi input signal...? This is super annoying!!!!Anybody know how to avoid re-opening LIVE onstage after losing midi? I have had my midi cord accidentally unplugged before and had to restart my live session which was a pain in the ass....

Know a workaround?

Please help!!!
