A third vote here against ScitScat. Bad experience - took them a month to send me my software.

The best international store I've come across is SFB Electronics. They will send stock anywhere in the world. Australian stores charge us the earth for electronic/music gear compared to you guys.
I have saved HEAPS from buying stuff from these guys. They don't stock everything, but have a good choice of outboard gear, mics and soundcards, rme, etc.
With the aussie dollar so strong atm, do yourself a favour!
Does Vegemite come with all their orders? :)

Not really had any bad experiences per se, but I always get good service from Sweetwater (and their prices have come down some the last couple years) and from Novamusik.com.

Another vote for Sweetwater and Novamusik here - great, informed staff and fantastic service.

I haven't dealt with Sweetwater but Novamusik are a cool company, helpful, communicate well with you on the progress of your order by email and good prices.

My favorite:

Sweetwater - they get 100% of my new purchase business.
Agree on Sweetwater. They are not the cheapest but customer services is awesome. The sales people will actually tell you not to buy something if you wont need it.

Also, they include candy in the box when they ship you stuff. It's all about the sugar.
i cant stand ordering from sweetwater. everytime i buy something from them they call me over and over to ask how's it going. really annoying. it's like i have to break up with them like a girlfriend. it's actually quite creepy how good thier customer service is. it's not you it's me.

I was taken back from this at first but now as I have built a relationship with my sales re,p I enjoy it. I had a problem with an Axiom61 I ordered (was missing all the accessories). My sales rep was out having surgery when it happened. First call I got from him when he was back was "Did everything get worked out with the Axiom?"

I love that kind of service.

The Good-- these guys are very good: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/

The Bad-- got some DVD editing software from these, downloaded the install and also ordered the boxed set. Boxed set never came.

My fave: Nova Musik in Milwaukee.

No bullshit and they carry an amazing array of offbeat synths as well as the regulars AND they know their stuff(or will find out for you if they don't).
