best Classic breakbeats collection

Post by Chris Paget » Mon Jul 09, 2007 9:30 pm

A few years back, I remember finding a page that had a list of what have become popular drum beats to sample (like the amen beat) and what songs they came from, and they were all downloadable. Does anyone know of a really well-rounded collection of the vintage breakbeats, online or for sale? Not only would it be cool to have the whole beats, but the the poppy snare sounds can't be beat as samples.

Do a google for another forum called Dogs On Acid,, or DOA,,
when you get there go into a section called the grid,,
there are literaly thousands of links to every break beat known to man including all of the classics,,
there is also a thread running right now called,, a new break every second day,, or some thing along thoughts lines,, that has a whole bunch taken from remastered CD's and Recycled,,

Turntable Lab.com had a CD called All The Breaks.

For about 35 bucks plush shipping you get ALL THE BREAKS. CD Quality Audio. Names of the Songs.

Word
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

man, thanks. I was getting few returns on a couple basic searches, but I'll do a little more looking. That thread definitely delivers the goods. Brilliant.

Yeah, I also just realized a lot of these (or maybe all) don't work in Live because of the wav file type.
