Any info on this glitch plug? Looks kool!!
I downloaded the demo. Seems really cool, and really easy to use. I have never used these other 'glitch' plugs before, so I can't compare for anyone. But I liked the UI on this one. It is laid out very simply, and it sounds good, which is the most important thing. Word.

I *was* influenced by Glitch (and other apps/plugs) - if you'd like more details, check out this thread on KVR - hint it has to do with my band, "Glitch": http://www2.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=166834 ).dubbyah wrote:I have one question, though. I've heard from numerous people that this plugin was basically a mac version of dBlue's Glitch. Is this true? It seems to me that it was originally based on it, but may have additions or changes. I won't want to buy it if there's too much overlap with Glitch, so can you clarify how the two are different?
Anyway, the sound of MM compared to Glitch is a bit different, and furthermore, in the Windows/Mac next version that I'm working on now, there will be some new effects that are not in dBlue's. Also, I think my interface is a bit simpler (as other people on this thread have pointed out) and that's something I strive for; I don't like too complex plugins that take some of the "immediacy" out of using them...

I Just hope you can save the state of the grid in this update, not being able to svae anything is a major hassle.
That's definitely on the list - I do recognize that that's one of the major drags about the plug right now...

So, the new version (v1.5) of the plugin is now available - new features/improvements:
* new effects: distortion, vocoder, slow down, & silence
* new enhancements to gate effect
* new master multipass filter
* new click reduction
* new "effect gapping"
* new clock multiplier
* new randomize and evolve functions for effects
* grid state & all parameters now saved with Live session
* improved preset management
* improved automation support
* new ability to turn hints on/off
* new undo feature
* now works correctly with Novation automap controllers
* now supports multiple instances of plugin in one Live session
* efficiency improvements "under the hood"
* small bug fixes
Despite everything I said above, I am NOT releasing a Windows version at this time. I do have the plugin 100% functional on Windows, but unfortunately the performance on Windows just isn't up to snuff, and so I don't want to release it. The graphics are all glitchy (in a bad way) and the timing isn't nearly as tight as on OS X for some reason. I'm committed to doing it still, but it's going to take a pretty much total redesign of the plugin that will take me a while.

I honestly cannot remember posting that. Weird.tech44 wrote:And by multi platform you meanthe_planet wrote:FINALLY a multi-platform glitch plug!
I will buy this.
"Mac OS X 10.3.9 or greater"
It's not multi-platform at all...
What the hell??! That's soooooo weird! I'm drawing a total blank.
This plugin looks really neat though! Sorta like dBlue Glitch, which I really like using when there's a Windows machine around.
This plugin kills. Just downloaded the new version today, can't wait to use it. The last version was really held back by not being able to save. Now that is cleared up, I'm gonna rock this thing right out of style...
Thanks Dan!

Yeah, that was definitely the biggest drawback in the old one. I really like playing with the new vocoder in the new one!

Maybe a corrupt download?
Demo Version without Pluggo: 836,287 bytes
Demo Version with Pluggo: 10,978,804 bytes
Feel free to contact me directly if it's still not working for you after re-downloading...The installer is just the standard Apple installer, so you shouldn't have any troubles with the actual install...

That sounds about right - the overhead comes from the Cycling infrastructure I'm afraid.

It's a nice plugin and does the job well.
I think though for live use (as in performance not the application name) it's problematic in that the grid is hard to see in a dark room for me on my machine at my resolution.
And as mentioned, 10% performance hit. There's so much stuff I have going on as it is that turning this on while playing on stage is 10% i can't afford.
I may buy it and keep it turned off though and only enable it for low CPU points in my set.
