Recording automation in session view

Post by CHS » Mon Jul 16, 2007 9:08 pm

Hey,
sry, if this question was posted already. I searched for it but got no answer.

What I'm trying:
I have a MIDI track with an Auto Filter plugin. I linked a knob of my keyboard to a parameter of the plugin through automation. Now, I want to record this automation in session view, but it doesn't work.

Do you have an idea how to do this?

Kind regards.
Christoph

unfortunately you can't record into session view. what you have to do is record into arrangement then take it over into session view.

it's easier to route your controller into a midi track and use something like midiox (on PC) or IAC (on Mac) to loop the controller info out of that track back into live as a remote control input, then record the midi controller info into midi clips in that track.
