tempo question

I want the change the tempo in the middle of a song, without the tempo of the first part changing too.
Does anyone know how to do this? Would help me a lot.

assign a control to the global bpm

or

go to arrange view, open the master track at the bottom and there's an envelope track for global bpm.

you can do this in session view also, and you don't need to modify any envelopes if you don't want to...as long as you are using scenes.

1) Start your project with whatever BPM you want.

2) when you get to the scene where you want the tempo change, just name that scene your desired BPM. (for example, you are at 120bpm, and you want your tempo to change to 160bpm, just name your scene "160bpm". Live auto-magically knows you want to change your tempo this way!)
