Lost work?

Post by dabedoo » Sat Aug 04, 2007 2:39 pm

I worked for hours today on a new track and when trying to save it, I got
a blue screen........ I had to reboot but didn't worry because when Ableton
doesn't save properly it asks me on the next lauch if I wanna save my
previous work!

But strangly this time it didn't and I lost 8 hours of work

Isn't there an "undo history" somewhere on my pc in order to
get it back ? (like in protools)

Help

Yes, if you're on Vista, you can use previous versions of the Ableton working folder, if the disk is set for versioning. Just R click the folder, and choose previous versions.

If you're not on Vista you may be lucky, and the data will be in the Ableton crash folder. [Docs&Settings\User Name\Ableton\Version\]
Live 6.10 | Vista Ultimate | Reason 3 |
Athlon 64 X2 6400 | 4GB DDR2 8000 |
Axiom 61 | BCR2000 | PadKONTROL |

Thx but there isn't any Ableton folder in the "Documents and Settings\Music PC\Mes documents\Ableton" folder

And a search on the entire harddisk didn't reveal the presence of such
a folder
