Rendering To Disk

Post by apollounstable » Mon Jan 15, 2007 1:22 pm

I've repeatedly tried to render my project file to disk but a WAV file isn't produced. I followed the manual instructions to no avail. I get a message at the bottom of the Live 6 window saying that it is "Searching for amplitude maximum" and there is a a bar graph that goes to 100%. then the Render To Disk window disappears but no file is produced. What do I need to do?

Thank you.

Can you please explain the fix?

Hi,

I had the same issue with "Searching Maximum Amplitude" while rendering track to disk with Normalize setting. I tried many times and it did not produce the wav/aif file. After many reboots of my macBookPro and in meantime did edit the tracks for refining the sound, i finally gave the rendering a shot with Normalize and it worked!

I don't know how and why it worked... Can you explain how you got it to work?

Just wanted to pip up that I saw this issue too on my wife's MBP while trying to render a DJ mix she did. For some reason Live doesn't like normalizing and then rendering long files. We eventually got it to work by turning off the normalize option and just trying it again and again, but it did take awhile.

That sounds similar to one of the bugs they fixed in the Live 6.0.7 update I believe... are you running Live 6.0.7?

I am running 6.0.7 on MAC.
Seems like an issue that needs to be addressed in future releases.

Thanks everyone for pitching in...
