I'd get an mbox2 mini - at least you get protools le with it.
Mac Pro: 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Xeon
Metric Halo ULN-2 interface
Akai MPK49 controller

I have played out with this sound card 2 times in the last 3 months. I have no complaints.

And the Price dropped since I purchased it.

and that's a good thing?

sorry, PT hater

If the new US-122s are as good as the old one, I'd recommend it fully. Never had any kind of trouble with it.

Protools LE is a blight on mankind and as useful as a scrotum on your head.

I wouldn't even think about that in choosing an interface.

There are USB interfaces by EMU and Edirol worth considering too.

What do you want to do with it? Record vocals?

In general i wouldn't get a non-Class-A preamp due to the transient distortion they produce (all audio-interfaces without a big external power supply).
The Mindprint TRIO has a decent preamp in Class-A and is worth a closer look at the current prices.

if you want to challenge vinyl-dj's and don't want to lose regarding the sound-quality and above all the sound-pressure, choose the native instruments audio kontrol 1. works like a charm. no more bad feelings while you make a take-over from another vinyl-dj and have to notice, that your tunes sounds like shit or direct out of a crispbread-box......

thom

I put my backing with the Audio Kontrol 1 also. Not sure what you wanted it for, but I found it much better under Windows than my mate's Edirol UA-25. He had trouble getting latencies down to anywhere near mine.
