Vista Ultimate and Novation Remote SL 61

New Sony VAIO FZ11Z T7300 duo 200gb hard drive.
Novation Remote SL 61 with Automap


Running Ableton 6.0.1 with vista ultimate.

(1) Cannot get novation to be recognised with the MIDI controls on the keyboard to trigger clips but it will play effects in the simpler.
(2) When playing clips/samples there are regular slight pauses in playback.

Although I have done a course in Ableton I am still very new to this and any help from someone more expert with either of these two problems would be gratefully received.

Have you checked the "MIDI Sync" section under options? Is the input set to "on" in the remote column?

(2) When playing clips/samples there are regular slight pauses in playback.

Please provide us with an audio example and screenshot.
