sample scrambler anyone?

Post by feerhoof » Sat Sep 01, 2007 6:01 pm

hi all,
I am looking for some sort of plug in that would allow to record a sample live and immediatelly process in a way of slicing it and playing it all scrambled...ramdomly!
in my case I will do it with guitar... but whatever audio... I've seen this as max/msp standalone feature made by a friend of mine, but i can't get hold of him at the moment and his version was for an old mac g3 laptop only...
anything like this out there?
thnks

use live as your live sampler/looper and supatrigger as your scrambler.

Good ol' bump

Post by feerhoof » Thu Sep 20, 2007 9:51 pm

hello guys,
i will bump this old subject as i still havent found what i am looking for,
i had no lucky with splonky and fitchsplifter as they are PC VST (Iam on intel mac)
also tried supatrigga but its not exactly what i want.
i am looking for something i could mess with, say, a guitar chord sample for example... being able to play it backwards and slice the sample and play it in diferent sequence order...

I am currently trying out mighty jungulator but its very complicated and it keeps failing to do dowload the manual for it....

one last bump before i give up on this subject....

cheers, :(

I would also try out Major Malfunction, that is a nice way to mangle sample or any audio for that matter, and you get more control over things like SupaTrigga.

lucifer vst did, but it's not available at the moment. supposedly there will be a replacement that'll have the same functionailty though, but when is anybodies guess...

however, maybe check out musolomo http://plasq.com/musolomo as i think it'll do what you're after.

You could just manually reverse, chop and rearrange if they are not getting the sound you want? I do that all the time with audio bass lines I have made to give a bit of variation in a track.

"Both kinds...... drum and bass."
