audiotomidi 1.1 for you

Post by pyrolator » Tue Sep 04, 2007 7:30 am

For a live-concert together together with Haushka (http://www.hauschka-net.de/) I midified some of my programs in Max/Msp an wrote the "audiotomidi 1.1" for AbletonLive6.
See here the setup in Live:

It is made to convert incoming 2 monophic audio-signals (in this case: stereo piano) into midinotes to control midi-instruments within Live.

For me it works with Live6 and Mac OS10.4 and its a UB (G5&Intel) - the window fits best for a Powerbookpro.

For you its free (donationware) and you find the download here (10.4mb): http://www.pyrolator.com/blog/weblog.ph ... tomidi_11/

Sorry, but the "manual" is in german - I am to lazy to translate right now, maybe for the next version of it...
And: You do need Max/Msp Runtime 4.6.3 for it (get it free here: http://www.cycling74.com/downloads/maxmsp) - or the full version of Max/Msp.

comments are welcome, have fun with it, all the best for your work

Thank you for your feedback !

For me it is a lot of fun, not working only with the audio-input in live setups with other musicians....

best wishes

Can someone lead me to some max/msp tutorials? I need to get started on this. Thanks!

MaxMSP itself is filled to the brim with them - and the references include hundreds of pages of info... there's plenty to get you started.
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.
