thank you for your positive report.
sounds promising.
"as deep as the ocean" sounds like good news for the whole tarnce movement...

Logic only sounds better than Live if you use a hard-wired Apple brand USB keyboard with no 3rd party drivers. Wireless keyboards are too slow. You can't keep up with the demands of optimum tarnce bpm rate. Why? Logic is an Apple product, it's more direct to the OS. So the electric from the keyboard will reach the computer brain quicker in sync with the music. I mean cmon, think about it...
And since Live has a high noise floor, you'll never hear the reduction in noise advantage by switching to a wired keyboard.
And don't forget to use a lighted USB cable to your keyboard for that extra special something!

I realise this is a less than serious Logic 8 thread, but I've been checking out the software today & it seems like they've really paid attention to the workflow with the one-window approach... I've never really got on with Logic in the past but something very cool is happening with this DAW I feel.
I don't wanna dig up the DAW debate bollocks or compare Live to it...but I'm all in favour of this new look Logick.

You know what, crap, I just realized you are absolutely correct. When I was setting up the preferences, there is the "sound quality" switch, and it comes standard as "keep as crappy as Live," and there is another choice for "ultimate #1 tarnce hit" and I obviously clicked that one, then my credit card was charged another $974.28. BOOO.
