What artist album has inspired you?

Post by swiffy » Wed Sep 19, 2007 6:22 pm

I need some album recommendations... It can be dance, rock, soul, whatever.
Anything other than hip hop. I do hip hop, but need different stuff to listen to. Thanks

Solar Fields - "Leaving Home", "Extended"

Squarepusher - "Ultravisitor"

Fluke - "Puppy"

Ulrich Schnauss - "Far Away Trains Passing By", "A Strangely Isolated Place"

Sigur Rós - "Agætis Byrjun", "( )", "Takk"

Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory

BT - This Binary Universe

No record collection should be without them. I'm especially loving the Solar Fields CDs atm.

I also got Underworld - "Everything, Everything" today. It's sounding fantastic so far!

Queensryche - Opertation Mindcrime. It was great when it came out, and then it sucked for about 10 years, and now it's great again.

Oh, and Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle. Something for everybody and nobody.

+1 for Fluke and Binary Universe.

Eminem - Curtain Call

I know I'll be heckled for that one :P but it's one of the few albums on which I like all the songs.

Also Cinematic Orchestra.

I'm really digging the new album from K-os.

It's called Atlantis—Hymns for Disco.

Dude is very creative. 8O
