Instajungle 0.4 doesn't appear in VST list

Hello. Anyone else have this problem. I'm on an Intel MacBook, using Instajungle 0.4, this version is made for Intel, and works fine in other hosts. The plug simply doesn't show up in the VST browser. I've re-installed and refreshed many times. Any advice appreciated.

Confirmed. My question is.. are you using the Windows version or the OS X version. Because the latest OS X version is from 2005 and I don't know when MacBook Pros came out. If you are using the OS X version it might be for PPC only and not Universal Binary or Intel OS X. I emailed the author and hopefully he will let me know.

As far as I can remember we've had a similar support request a few weeks ago. InstaJungle 0.4 is a VST 2.3 plugin. The plugin needs to be at least VST 2.4 for full Intel Mac compatibility. Live on an Intel Mac will not support anything prior 2.4.

I got a reply from Laurence, and the copy of 0.4 he sent me works as far as showing up in live. I haven't been able to fully reproduce the functionality I have with 0.3 on pc but I just grabbed a copy of the amen break and I'm gonna go back and see if I can get what I'm looking for. I post my findings afterward.

Eureka! I'm happier than... Well... words don't come to mind. The copy Laurence sent me today shows up and works perfectly well. One VERY large thing to note. Because of some new functionality he added it won't behave as you expect it to unless you take the parameter "Sync Slice Start" off of "Hard" and put it on "On" or "Off". If it's on hard for some reason it seems to be glitch happy. I think this actually has something to do with the other new parameter. "First Prime Divisor" It sounds like when you start the buffer it goes from quarter notes to eighth notes to sixteenth notes in procession. More of a glitchy sound.. the reason I love instajungle is that it will let me catch the beat I want and repeat it until I turn it off. Creatively of course with the old version you could create entirely new breaks on the fly... You still can just make sure that "Sync Slice Start" isn't on hard.

In live 6 i have problems opening vst plugins. They appear in the vst/audiounit browser in LIVE 4 and work fine there, but they do not appear in the browser window in LIVE 6.0.10 . Some does appear though; the ones from APPLE, and the spektral-plugins from the vstmaker Micael Norris, but all other free plugins i usualy use, such as transverb, crazy Ivan, the mda plugins, etc, etc, does NOT appear .

WHY?

Are you using 6 in an Intel mac? Are they Universal binary plugins?

thanks for all the feedback. I missed the responses til now. I'm using live 6.10, OS X 10.4.9 in an Intel powerbook.

the version of Instajungle 0.4 isn't up for download but the author will mail it to you if you write him. I don't want to post it because it's his work you know.

Still got my problem, it shows up inside of Peak, but ableton just won't see it, although ableton recognizes all my other plugs perfectly.

praying that in ableton 7 it'll magically start appearing. any further ideas appreciated though!
